Sideway Arrow step on a mat is a balance exercise of the spiral stabilization method — besides muscles it trains stability. Execution: step on a mat. Equipment: rope, mat.
Starting position: Stand on your rear leg with your hip facing the rope handle. The other leg, closer to the rope, rests on a mat in front of your body.
Keeping your belly firm, push yourself off with the tip-toe of your rear leg and pull yourself up. Shift weight onto the leg on the mat and firm it all up, including the buttock.
